- The Return To The Revolution, In-Store Performances & More!
Take a deeper dive into a short recap of all the performers from this event in the short article written by the platform creator. Returning with new acts, a new setup and heavier than ever, dreamsdocometrue*radio and Sound Revolution just wrapped up the second ever in-store event performances. Taken place this past Saturday, November 30th with nine Houston acts performing from 4pm - 9pm inside and outside the store. K. cross Follow the artist here Kicking the event off at the starting time was local underground rapper K. cross. An incredible writer showcased tracks from his catalog throughout the 20 min set such as “Needed”, “Runaway” & “Days get hard”. This was one of his first times playing these songs lives, and he got the crowd fired up for everyone. All photos taken by wesley (Instagram - @ wesleysnaped ) Eniightment Follow the band here Second on the bill was a high energy hard rock trio from the city called Eniightment. Lead singer Seff Segura reached out to the store and wesley about playing of the next events, this was one of the first times someone has inquired about playing an event of ours. Hitting it hard with demos out now on SoundCloud as well as one of the biggest highlights of the nights, we had to include Eniightment on this. Segura ended their set by destroying his guitar and jumping in their recently announced previous drummers drum kit, installing a moment to remember in Sound Revolution history. All photos taken by wesley (Instagram - @ wesleysnaped ) Scarlett Follow the band here Next up was Scarlett, another upcoming young band, and friends of Eniightment. The two groups have been rocking the stage for a while now so it was a no brainer to include them on this. Scarlett was the first band to play when the night fall hit, playing to about thirty other spectators. Following up the energy from their friends set before, Scarlett continued rocking out the night. All photos taken by wesley (Instagram - @ wesleysnaped ) The Shroons Follow the band here The last band outside before the switch inside (and back outside) was a local act that has been around for just a short time but has proven time and time again how good they are. The Shroons had previously played our $5 punk rock show at The White Swan Live alongside Zegovia and a few others. Playing originals such as “The Hatred” & “Nerve”, plus covers, the group always has some tricks up their sleeves whether it’s playing the guitar with their teeth, behind the back, under the legs or even on top of each others shoulders. This band always finds a way to make jaws drop and you won’t want to miss out on the next chance you get to see a set. All photos taken by wesley (Instagram - @ wesleysnaped ) Last time we held an event with performers they were all inside the record store but this time we wanted to try out some variety. The beginning portion of this event with the first 4 acts were outside, next 3 acts were inside and the final 2 acts were moved back outside. Matthew Collins Follow the artist here First up inside was solo artist Matthew Collins from Pasadena, Texas. The singer songwriter had recently released his first full length record “RAIN” as well as a new single “I Know The Feeling”. Matthew performed the record live for the first time at the Houston Saengerburnd with a full band including Max Diaz and Telebastards Lead guitarist, Ed. Joined by the star guitar player, Matthew played a stripped down set for the still but receiving crowd. All photos taken by wesley (Instagram - @ wesleysnaped ) The Amazing Bozo Follow the artist here Bringing the honky-tonk to the record store, The Amazing Bozo put a snake in everyone’s boots. Playing originals solo such as “Crybaby”, Bozo tore up the stage with all of the cowboy hits. Stay up to date with him and keep an eye out for the next bozo show but his live band he calls the boys. All photos taken by wesley (Instagram - @ wesleysnaped ) Rinas Follow the artist here Rinas was the last solo act who played inside alongside her drummer and guitarist. With her angelic voice she sung songs from her discography like “Diana” & “Big Mouth”. She is one of the greatest female artists in the city and is an example of why we will continue taking a step in including more women in our events. Be on the lookout for some possible new music coming from Rina next year as well as more live shows. All photos taken by wesley (Instagram - @ wesleysnaped ) Jaid Follow the band here Following up the inside performances the last two acts began setting up back outside. Jaid is a band from Houston who is breaking all barriers of hard rock and shoegaze genres. The four piece had recently came off Pity Party (Girls Club) Texas leg of tour after playing shows all summer long including the big stage at Warehouse Live Midtown. Raising the energy back up through the roof, this was the first set of the night we saw two stepping from fans in the crowd. Jaid is definitely a band you won’t want to miss the next chance you have to see them live. All photos taken by wesley (Instagram - @ wesleysnaped ) our eyes go blank tonight Follow the band here The 4 piece “Skramz” / Post Hardcore band, our eyes go blank tonight was one of the first acts inquired for this show and for obvious reasons. Their discography is already historical as well as the undeniable pure talent among this band. The band played all the hits for the second ever DDCT*R event here at Sound Revolution closing out the night with “MATCHA BOMB !!!+¡!!+”. See their next live show which should be soon annouced. All photos taken by wesley (Instagram - @ wesleysnaped ) This has been just the second one of many more to come and stay (hopefully). Starting next year for January, February and March expect to see more performances at Sound Revolution every last Saturday of the month. - Hockey Dad Return To Houston Alongside Remo Drive & Weakened Friends
Written by Wes, October 31st, 2024 All pictures by wesley (@ wesleydoxedtheworld @ wesleysnaped ) The Australian Duo is just three shows in their third visit back to the states, but there is some change since the last time the group was here. They are here now touring the U.S.A. with new friends, new songs, & new stages. With 16 shows left of the 19 date run, these are show's you will not want to miss. Hockey Dad recently released their 4th record called Rebuild, Repeat this summer with singles Still Have Room, Base Camp & Safety Pin. "Seething", "Wreck & Ruin" were also songs from the album that were played alongside previous material from all projects. This was my first time finally catching Hockey Dad live after missing out on both chances to see the band in Texas. I was super excited when given the opportunity by Last Concert Café to handle media coverage on this stop ( see full gallery ). In 2022 the group went on a 32 date amphitheater / arena tour with Third Eyed Blind & Taking Back Sunday. Earlier this year was their first time back to the country but this time headlining selective dates with Mind's Eye. The band ran through a dozen plus songs in front of the Houston crowd including 2020's Brain Candy single "Good Eye" and a deeper cut "Reno". Singer, Zach Stephenson, mentioned to the crowd that track (Reno) was previously requested in the city by a fan all the way in 2022. From sophomore record, Blend Inn. Referred to as William (Fleming) song "Sweet Release" was a highlight of the night for many in the audience. The Iconic start of "Join The Club" had the audience moving their heads just within seconds This was a shared feeling with the track "Babes" off of their debut project, Dreamin'. The band recently just announced a four date club run back in Australia in celebrating 10 years of the EP. Now this show wasn't just the funny, talented and wonderful Hockey Dad but also the great Remo Drive . Another duo straight from Minnesota Consisting of Erik & Stephen Paulson. The brothers brought down another two friends to assist on drums and guitar / keys. The first time I heard of Remo Drive was in 2018 when I was a sophomore in High School. With only one record at the time at with what will soon be a cult classic song "Yer Killin' Me" & others such as "Art School". Last night they played a track they said was one they haven't been playing as often from that record called "Crash Test Rating". As soon as the song kicked in it took me back to that school desk in the craziest way possible, listening to these tracks with "Strawberita" being the main one I had on my playlist back in those years. It has been 7 years since Remo Drive emerged with that debut record "Greatest Hits" and again, much has changed. The Duo have put out a deluxe edition of their recent 2023 record "Mercy" with additions of songs reimagined. New versions of tracks on the record consist of contributions from Field Medic, Boyish, Caleb Lee Hutchinson, & wilt. Their live set consisted a good mix of all that the brothers have put out over the years. The bright neon "Mercy" sign, reigning behind the band provided a warm welcome to the experience of what this band has been up to. Last but not least, Weakened Friends . I don't have much to say besides how tight of a band they are. I have never heard of them but their vocalist Sonia Sturino has really great voice as well of talent with the guitar. The trio is filled by Annie Hoffman ripping the Bass and Adam Hand banging the drums. I highly suggest checking them out as well as Remo Drive and Hockey Dad for those who have not heard of these three acts. If you also have time to catch a show, check if they are coming to a town near you. Get those tickets and don't look back, you wont want to miss this chapter of history happening in front of your eyes. dreamsdocometrueradio.com is an online music platform and publication created by Charles "Wesley" Bales. - STARDUST* Spotlight: The Los Kalaveras Exclusive Interview
Article written and published by Charles "Wesley" on Saturday, October 12th. Photo taken by (@lexs_fotography) on Instagram Formed in Houston, Los Kalaveras is a newer punk band that embraces everything around them. Running some of the best D.I.Y gigs in the city in the past few years I was eager to reach out to them to answer a few questions for this article. I first saw the band back in May the day before Cinco De Mayo when the played a free show in a backyard that was home to a friend of mine. I worked at H-E-B for over 3 years where I met Max who was one of the roommates of three in this house. The previous year (2023), In July I threw a backyard show there not expecting it have a cannon effect of bookings at the house. Yet after that one and a NYE party, my friends in Mask Tape & A Distraction, the newer act, Los Kalaveras put on an insane backyard show with free pizza. Shook by their energy, spirit and love for the music, I was drawn to them. I met Eddie for the first time a few hours before hand while setting up some for the show that night. A great soul that is always helping others while giving not only a good time but a great performance. Relive the night from this recording of the full live set from the demo release house show! The band has released their first demo tape "Los Demos" earlier this year on May, 11th and it is now available to stream on all platforms. Read below for the full band interview from Eddie, Marlon, Jason & Leo. When was the first time you guys settled on the name Los Kalaveras? E: “The first time I came up with the name Los Kalaveras was from my great grandpa in Mexico, I went to visit him in 2018, at the time I was dreaming of becoming an MMA fighter, I told my grandpa about my dream, that’s when he told me he was a boxer back in the day, and his name was Calavera, he then said I can have his name for my fights, unfortunately I tore my ACL and had to stop fighting, I want to keep the name somehow and one day I came up with the name Los Kalaveras, established the band out in Cali with my boy Elvis, when I moved out to Houston, I asked Jason, Leo and Marlon to join the band!” What does the band mean to each individually? E: “The band means the world to me, getting the chance to play on stage with my brothers to a crowd of 100, 20, or even 1 person, it doesn’t matter, I’m with my boys, we’re expressing ourselves the only way we know how, without them I don’t know where I’d be or what I’d be doing, my advice to the scene, is to find your tribe, your brothers/ sisters and build a good friendship with them, get on the same page and humble yourselves, don’t let egos get in the way of creativity, find the message that you want to express.” L: “This band means a lot to me because I got to meet Jason and Eddie. One of the coolest people I’ve ever met and I consider them family at this point. I’ve been knowing Marlon before, since we work at the same place but we grew closer ever since he joined our band as our Bassist. I also consider him family too. Not only that, but I’m honored to be playing alongside with them and for me to meet new people along the way. I’m always looking forward to play shows whenever we can and discovering new places as well. It’s such a great privilege and opportunity for me.” What is the best D.I.Y show you guys have been a part of? J: The best show we were apart of, was definitely the show we through at the abandoned Italian restaurant / church! We went bare moose knuckles with it. It doesn't get more DIY than renting out a generator with the last bit of money each of us had to put this show together. It started with an idea I had while strolling through the neighborhood I noticed the back door was open, it peaked my curiosity, so just like any other ambitious abandoned place explorer I decided to check it out, to my surprise it was huge!! I instantly knew this is the next place I wanted to throw a show at! Left & Right photo by (@lexs_fotography), Middle photo taken by (@cbass_zz) ( continued ) So I hit up the boys, we hit up our brothers and asked if they'd be down to play a show, and as risky as we all knew it was, the show went off without a hitch! We got there a bit early and started setting up in the church things were lookin good, to be honest I didn't know if much people were going to come, but sure enough crowds of people came, we had this place packed, it was hotter than satans ass in there!! But we made it work, it even got the attention of locals living in the area, whom also checked it out, and had never seen anything like this!! But the end of the night all bands had gotten to play, and we even let another band hop on last minute to play a song! Truly this is only the begging of the abandoned shows to be played, just keep and eye out and we'll have another ready before you know it!!” What are some influences that everyone grew up with? L: “Most of my influences while I was growing up back then, (band wise), is Breaking Benjamin, Chevelle and Mudvayne. Not only that I really like their style of music, those bands are one of the reasons why I wanted to start playing the drums because of the drummers from each band respectively. They’re amazing." Photo taken by (@lexs_fotography) What are some goals for the band this upcoming year? L: I’m really grateful for the position that I’m currently at. I get to meet great people along the road, I have a good relationship with not only just my band mates but having a good relationship with our brother bands out there too! And I wouldn’t have it any other way. Life’s going good so far for me and I hope to keep doing what I’m doing until I kick the bucket. Any words for others trying to do more in the local music scene? E: I leave you with this if by any chance your reading this future musicians, art is an expression of the soul, an extension of your soul, do not sell that, stick to what you love to make , and to what you want to make, don’t sell your music short for the quickest buck, the music should be the love and focus, the money may or may not come but live through the love of it, that’s just how I see it Photo taken by (@lexs_fotography) on Instagram The band will be on to make many great accomplishments just like they already have in the short time together. Catch the band performing live at the first ever STARDUST* ( now on sale ), and keep updated with them on social media here .
- MOM IT WAS NEVER A PHASE, POP PUNK IS BACK: State Champs Announce New Record Alongside Two New Singles
Written by Wes, August 21st, 2024 From left to right: Derek DiScanio (Vocals), Ryan Scott Graham (Bass), Tyler Szalkowski (Guitar), Evan Ambrosio (Drums) The Albany, New York Pop-Punk based band State Champs took to social media this morning the announcement of their self-tittle fifth studio LP which will be released November 8th later this year. After touring last year with acts like BOYS LIKE GIRLS, 30H!3, The Ready Set & The Summer Set alongside a remix of previously released BLG single, "THE OUTSIDE - OUTSIDERS VERSION" the guys are back in full swing with two new singles for their upcoming record, State Champs. Leading the release with a video that made our weekly video spotlight , "Silver Cloud" is a track that seems like a return to the sweet spot of 2013 and 2015 which is now a decade ago. Following up the high energy track, "Too Late to Say" brings the emotion with cutting lyrics, catchy hooks and punchy riff's. Pop Punk fans can draw some nostalgia from drumming styles such as Blink-182 and their Self-Titled work released in 2003. That might sound like a bold view from myself as a listener of both, yet somehow feels right looking at the impact of a State Champs record like The Finer Thing in 2013. With their third record, Around the World and Back released in 2015, this was a pivotal time for the genre. From Neck Deep releasing cult classic "Life's Not Out To Get You", The self-titled record from The Story So Far with pillar songs such as "Nerve" & Heavy Gloom, then the highly regarded record from Knuckle Puck, "Copacetic". With the two brand new songs from the band and another 10 on the way, there is still a lot more unfolding to look forward to until the release of "State Champs" on Friday, November 8th. One of the other exciting things to look forward towards besides all the beautiful vinyl variants & merch packages is the North America Tour Dates with Knuckle Puck, Meet Me at the Alter & Daisy Grenade. This run of shows will kick off on the release date of the new album in Austin, TX and end December 7th in New York at the legendary Webster Hall. Tickets are now on sale on the State Champs website as well as all the new album necessities. Tour Dates: Click here to view all stops plus get tickets and VIP upgrades. - Help Save The End, The High Curbs Put Out Their Senior Record + Embark On Huge North America Tour Starting In Houston With Day Trippin & Quinn the Brain.
Honestly, I did not not know of The High Curbs until a really good friend of mine, Luis, who is also in the local Houston scene band Day Trippin. Luis texted me a few months ago hitting me with his ambitions to open for the band but as some may know, manifestation becomes reality and now the Day Trippin is the support act along side locals Quin the Brain for The High Curbs North American kickoff date. Not only is West Coast’s Garage Band The High Curb’s embarking on 16 show North American tour but they released a huge fourth studio album this past Friday alongside other legends reinstating the fact they are here to stay. This new record personally hits like a Turnstiles 2021 record “Glow On”. A impressive record that shook all scenes of music including festival crowds such as 2023 Rolling Loud Miami. Again, this album gave me reminscents of what I thought could be some of my favorite once small bands turn into a big stage force, which Turnstile was the first Rock band to play the majority Hip Hop / Rap festival. The new album titled either like a self titled or the drug, it is almost as addictive. Songs such as “I’ll Die” & “Couldn’t Hold Back A Smile” have lasting impressions. As if the four singles didn’t already have a lasting impression (my favorites being “besos” & “Lost Boy”). The record even includes other special treats like a reimanged full band version of the 2021 hit “always on my mind” which is not titled this time as “A.O.M.M”. I’ve been sitting with this one a little longer than others since there’s so many tracks on here I keep replaying in my head as soundtracks to my new memories that are going to made not just this year but many more. I hope to see this band move to some even bigger stages by next year but for now the band is already journeying into the U.S.A starting today in Houston, Texas. The venue the band is kicking off this tour is “Ground Control” which is also owned by one of our scenes most impressionable and renowned string of neighboring venues, “The End” & “The Compound”. Both venues have recently strived with a lot of foot traffic but is now struggling with their landlord and other damages from storms or the scene. Mentioning this is vital to everyone since this world is a body that we must utilize & not idolize. If you can take a minute to read or even donate to the situation of “The End” family there will be a link to the GoFundMe. These venues have given artists like me, and many aspiring touring musicians that would have never been able to have the chance if it weren’t for the stage. Help support The High Curbs on their North American run starting today and find a way to get the new album in your ear holes. Also find more shows in an area near you through the new concert locator feature to our site.
- iS tHis A muSiC loVeRs dReAm? First Listens Of New Full Length Albums by Vince Staples, Bring Me The Horizon, Twenty One Pilots, + More Including Wallows , The High Curbs, Noah Guy & EXOSSI
This past Friday, May 24th, reminded me of August 3rd 2018 when Travis Scott, YG & Mac Miller all released their new albums on the same day, at the same time. Despite the new music today, all of the artists have enough space to shine with their unique changes in sound over the years. From the change of Deathcore / Metalcore defining Brittish Band Bring Me The Horizon, to now the forward leaning rock band of this generation or maybe the (still) young guns in Wallows now releasing their third record, there is a lot to digest. Starting off this read with a name that has been around for well over a decade that loves to pop back in like a distant aunt that is awesome at gift giving when it's time. He is following up now with a new record after releasing two great records. One being the long anticipated album "RAMONA PARK BROKE MY HEART" and now classic 2021 self titled "Vince Staples". As if we didn't think he had paid his dues, Vince continues to show out. Vince Staples - Dark Times Swinging in with a sample of Thee Sacred Souls "Weak for Your Love", Vince delivers line after line almost like a the first Rick Ross on intro track “Black&Blue’. What might seem like a bit of a return to form from Vince, the man has a lot to say after the success of his Netflix sitcom, “The Vince Staples Show”. Tracks like ““Radio”” hit closer to home for some like me as I have realized the way to cope with our ever changing emotions is changing especially with the radio having what was once structure, now almost on its last legs. Almost a beautiful but horrifying painting continues in the following track “Nothing Matters”. If Vince ever sees this I want y’all to ask if this sometimes tracks such as nothing matters is a point inwards or an image of what we are seeing on the outside. It could be possible that as the hook states, “nothing really maters at all” so why should we worry? Thanks Vince for the new tunes and new perspectives that keeps a pushing me in like an invisible hand. Top 3 FLF - “”Radio””, “Liars” & “Little Homies” Bring Me The Horizon - POST HUMAN: NeX GEn A band that keeps breaking expectations just put out the second installment to a one of a kind story titled POST HUMAN. Reminiscent of early pop punk “emo” music this is everything or maybe nothing to what could was once a small fitted crowd, turn worldwide fan base. Catering to new and old but themselves plainly, the band recruited a insanely packed gauntlet of feautres from other greats in the scene such as Ocala, Florida’s Underoath, Norwegian artist AURORA, Daryl Palumbo of New York’s Glassjaw and Philadelphia's Lil Uzi Vert. More about the new album by Sheffield’s biggest act, they had previously released a great run of singles starting with “DiE4u” almost now three years ago. Normally that would be seen as insane but it seemed as if every other season the group would return with single tracks such as “sTraNgeRs” & “LosT” before giving any more new information on the very anticipated project. Sending the band in to overdrive, listeners across the world were hit with not one but two legendary Collab's in June 2023 between the highly regarded self made artist, Lil Uzi Vert. Dropping what would be a single for NeX GEn, “AmEN!” and a single for Uzi’s “Pink Tape” that we see both artists allowing us to get a first look into what the future of music could be. With a few more features from front man Oliver Sykes on CORPSE’s “CODE MISTAKE” and British Bud YUNGBLUD’s ear worm “Happier”, I began to start to wonder when we would receive this record. Then on October 18th, 2023 reassurance was delivered with a new anthem called “DArkSide”. With still no word of what was next, “Kool-Aid” was served on January 5th which was not only giving the band a bigger sound than ever, but this was also final single of this insanely curated record. After listening to the band for well over a decade now, it hurts to even try to compare any of the past records. This one has everything for everyone and if you think there isn’t a part you would like, you probably didn’t listen to every track straight through. It’s a hard thing to do in todays word especially giving a record the full chance and multiple times, plus the choice of almost any recording by a instant search. Songs like “YOUtopia” and “n/A” are the ones that feel like a warm kiss from the sun on my skin. SO I SAY LISTEN TO THIS RECORD. Top 3 FLF: “YOUtopia”, “R.i.p. (duskCOre RemIx)”, & “DIg It” Twenty One Pilots - Clancy With a little more of a bias take since I personally have listening to the duo from Columbus Ohio for well over a decade now, it was an experience in itself to listen to this record. Continuing in the world of Trench and storyline of Blurryface, Clancy comes in like a sucker punch with not only new crazy lore but also great tracks. The story picks right back up from the previously released 2021 LP, Scaled & Icy, but now with front man Tyler Joseph aka Clancy returning back to trench in the city of DEMA. For those who might not be following the storyline or have the time to invest in the world they have created, the duo released a short recap / storyline explanation that you can now watch here. The best friends also released a music video for every track on the record besides the final track “Paladin Straight”. This one being one of my favorites to listen to off of the first go around, there is a question that Tyler Joseph has been leaving with listeners, “Does this sound like the end?” . Fans speculate we might get an extended play or deluxe version of the album along side the final video. While we don’t know what to expect quite yet, we do know the video will air early June per the bands livestream and placeholder visual for the track. You can interact with this article and comment your thoughts on what you think the band will give next. Top 3 FLF: “Midwest Indigo”, “At The Risk of Feeling Dumb”, & “Paladin Straight” Wallows - Model It might be weird to call these guys now seasoned veterans but Wallows has now debuted their third studio album titled “Model” alongside the others. With a few singles to kick off the new era, the trio is back again after their very anticipated last record, “Tell Me When It’s Over” which was the follow up to the stellar 2018 debut, “Nothing Happens”. With it being almost half a decade since vocals, guitars but also actor, Dylan Minnette has retired the role of being in one of the biggest Netflix shows “13 Reasons Why”, the guys have had a lot more time to grow and write. Consisting of also Braeden Lemasters on vocals / guitar, and Cole Preston on the Drums the band has found a new groove again. Just like the REMOTE ep this one hits out of nowhere. The record seems to have a similar color palette and mechanics of the previous 2022 record but giving a little more confidence this time around that reminds me of their debut. Songs such as “Going Under” really show Braeden exploring his voice and artistry in the band as well as Cole proving and insane beat on songs like “Only Ecstasy”. Overall this album is put together really great and I personally cant wait to add it to my collection. (record labels send me these vinyl's please). I also can't wait to see the new live show with the new energy. These guys again, are going somewhere (higher). Top 3 FLF: “A warning” “She’s an Actress” & “Only Ecstasy” The High Curbs - THC Stick around for the first listen full album review to be posted tomorrow afternoon. They are hitting the road this summer so find a date online and be there! You won't wanna miss this. Sometimes the music speaks for itself but what would the music be without a live performance ? HAPPY YEAR 1 ANNIVERASY TO THE DEBUT ALBUM "MELANCHOLIA" BY GERMAN BAND LOOSE LIPS. Released at thirty six minutes with 11 tracks on the date of April 14th, 2023, German trio Loose Lips put out their stellar debut LP. Having four singles before the record, them being Deja Vu, Lalalalove, Eye For An Eye & Keep Me Sane, the band slowly pushed out their world to the rest of ours. I quickly questioned why I did not heard of them sooner or why local stations and other platforms haven't pushed such a great act yet. Their lyrics feel like a shadow behind a silhouette and the progressions of tracks like Eye for An Eye truly push a great raw power of emotion. With songs like the tittle track, melancholia, we begin to see the vast variety of the groups talents. Incredible structure and lyricism sung by the frontman paints a gloomy sound just in the yellow light and purple haze world. In contrast to the previous three track EP the band had released in 2021 the color of their heart is bleeding through this LP bright and strong. Check out the bands previous work and stay updated for their new song HEARTBREAK RADIO coming out next Friday, April 26th. Interview - Read the chat between Wes & Loose Lips First off, how are you? Quite good, staying busy, excited for what’s to come! Confirmed plans for the year? New Music? Touring? New music, yes! A new single is dropping in April and more will follow throughout the year. Also some smaller festivals in the summer and we’re currently putting together a tour for the end of the year. All in Germany and maybe the Netherlands though sadly. Who are some of your biggest musical influences? Everything loud and catchy! Grunge, nu metal, alt rock, emo from the 90s and early 2000s mainly cause that’s what we grew up on. Any outside of music? Ex; Parents, Yes! My parents listen to amazing music and showed me great music early on. Jelto’s dad has a music store and got him into drums! Favorite local food? Grünkohl (very regional, some sort of kale, usually eaten with sausage) Favorite worldwide food? Veggie Burgers Most memorable show in your country? Our album release show last year! Felt like the first time people were really singing back at us. Favorite show outside of your hometown? Deichbrand Festival 2021 probably, our first time playing a big festival. Favorite upcoming local artist? Marderschaden (german for marten damage - they're a funny Punk Band) Favorite piece of music written by the band? I think we all really like the songs that we’re gonna release this year. Especially “bullet” has a special place in our hearts (it’s gonna drop in June probably) What are some future goals the band has right now? Grooow, reach some new fans, show our cool ass new singles to the world Some Individual ones? Grow as people 🌝 Message for artists Make art for yourself, otherwise it’ll be hard to keep going Message for the world Always be open to something new Enjoy tomorrow at Noon CST / 7PM GMT, the album played in full on dreamsdocometrueradio.com & find out more about the band through their socials.
- Los Lonely Boys Rock Houston, Announce A New Album & New Tour With Los Lobos
Picture of Los Lonely Boys by Tyler at the House of Blues Houston on February 23rd, 2024 For going on almost now 30 years, Los Lonely Boys still wants to dance with us. Playing all their hits and some new material, the brother trio made sure that the night life of Houston was alive. Keeping God and their roots a priority, San Angelo, Texas is a city straight in the middle of the state populated with less than a hundred thousand people. This is where Henry (Guitar), Ringo (Drums) & Jojo Garza (Bass) grew up shaping the sound of their band. Working with legendary artists over the years such as Willie Nelson and being on their recent tour with Lisa Morales. Picture of Lisa Morales by Wesley at the House of Blues Houston on February 23rd, 2024 Lisa kicked the night off with her son Thomas Spencer on guitar and amazing band besides her, hyping up for what was to come from Los Lonely Boys. The band recently has released their new single "Dance With Me" & have been playing some new work from an upcoming album at their recent live shows. This one was a bit diffrent from last years show with now two new singles out but all of the hits being played such as "Heaven", "Blame It on Love", "So Sensual" & So much more. Back in 2023, on February 18th, my mom took me to go see the Los Lonely Boys for the first time as a heartbreak remedy. Creeping through every step of those in attendance was the wide range of influence the band has. My mother being a musician and knowing my love for music she knew this is where I needed to be. Their father also being a musician, lead them to a lot of Blues and Tejano music which helped form their Texas Rock & Roll that is still unique to them till this day. Me and My mom (: On February 23rd, 2024 I had the opportunity to take my mom back to see Los Lonely Boys at House of Blues but now doing coverage for the article you are reading now! This time the crowd seemed louder, bigger yet like family. The brothers love to ask throughout the night "ARE YOU HAPPY TO BE ALIVE?", reminding us that there is a reason to be happy and alive when Los Lonely Boys is still crushing it. Picture of Los Lonely Boys by Wesley at the House of Blues Houston on February 23rd, 2024 The band recently announced some August summer tour dates with Los Lobos so be expecting some killer shows and hopefully new music later this year! The band has been around for almost 28 years now and still has a lot to give for old and future generations. - Twenty One Pilots “Overcompensate” The World With A Huge Return, And A New Album Titled “Clancy” Out May 17th
With four studio albums underneath their belt, Twenty One Pilots returns with their new single “Overcompensate”. Their last release, “Scaled And Icy”, now almost three years ago, singer Tyler Joseph & Drummer Josh Dun announce their new album “Clancy”. In the start of the track, listeners are embraced with an energetic beat throwing both old and new fans back into the world of Trench. Similarities between heavydirtysoul, levitate, and bandito, the new track takes everyone for a ride (no dun intended). Almost reminiscent of an action packed movie with a dark environment, the new sound of Twenty One Pilots has exactly what fans from 2015, 2018 and even now can love. With the band diving in deeper to the story they have been painting for the last decade, we are introduced with a face to the charchter, Clancy. Tylers movement, the outfit coordination, and assistance from Paul Meany on the track production, the new track confirms that this new era will be one of the best yet. Viewers can expect to be opened up to the grand finale to the story of trench all starting with the fifth studio album, Clancy, out Friday, May 17th. - Jimmy Butler Is The Emo Cowboy From Chicago's Own Fall Out Boy's New Music Video, “So Much (For) Stardust”
Written by Wes February 28th, 2024 In a golden etched deep purple cowboy suit, straightened black hair covering the right eye, unique moves and a one of a kind guitar stood Jimmy Butler. As if Fall Out Boy couldn’t have solidified themselves as one of the performance acts with their legendary discography that spans now more than 20 years, they were able to sign Jimmy Butler for a short term contract for their new singles music video “So Much (For) Stardust”. Pete Wentz, the bassist for the band, dressed in a white and golden accented cowboy suit to provide an iconic dynamic between the two stars. Never have we seen the two bust out moves with such emotion and pride as well as singing the daunting lyrics written by the group in such captivating environments. After a pandemic, growing up, and not wanting to do the same work over again, the band found themselves needing a vision. The beauty of this album comes from that and how authentic Fall Out Boy gets through their writing, producing and craft. While Andy is from Milwaukee and now lives in Portland, the rest of the band is from greater Chicago area, or “north suburbs” as Stump puts it from their recent “According to Google with Fall Out Boy”. Since forming in 2001 Patrick's', Junior year of high School, the band has gone through a lot along with the world. From talks of COVID-19, film scoring, and the navigation of all this constant change, Fall Out Boy says a lot on tracks such as Love From The Other Side, Flu Game and Heartbreak Feels So Good. The bands latest record released almost a year ago now on March 23, 2023. With the band still behind the wheel and in full control there is no stopping them on finishing what they started. Catch them on the So Much For (2our) Dust this spring in a city near you with Jimmy Eat World, The Maine, Daisy Grenade & More! Once again thank you for the continuous support towards the platform, we are excited to announce the first annual Texas Jazz, Blues & Reggae Festival taking place in Houston Texas on Saturday May 25th at The Embassy Outpost.
